Ooh, that's the 26th picture I've posted to the 27 blog. Better make the 27th one a goodie...!

Yes, 27 pages of weekend sport in last Saturday's Independent newspaper in the UK, where Chelsea are romping towards the Premier League title.

Taken on the day that Tesco announced underlying annual pre-tax profits of £2.03 billion. Not bad considering everything in the shop costs 27p.

Yes! It's a disposable camera! With 27 exposures! Not exactly sure what's on it, it's one of those disposable cameras that you buy and take pictures with, but then never get round to getting processed!

This is Colnel Rayburn, the number 27 horse in today's big Grand National race. Obviously I bet on it, but sadly it didn't manage to win - though it did keep right in there until the end of the race.

Apparently Colonel Rayburn was a US Colonel who won a point-to-point race in his 70s. The horse was named after him, but whoever filled in the form spelt Colonel wrongly!

STOP PRESS: You'll never guess at what number fence (out of 28 in the Grand National) that my number 27 horse fell. Yes, the 27th!

This is a fire hose reel that I spotted the other day at Heathrow airport, when I touched back down from Hamburg. I had to jump off one of those moving walkways (travellator?) and walk back against the flood of people in order to take it.

Feel free to comment (yeah, I know there's not really much to say about a picture with the number 27 on it, but it can get lonely in here on my own!)

Second of the Hamburg shots (see above and below) and closer in than we're usually used to.

Why? To capture the top textured wall and rust marks!

Notice how it comes so close to being a double 27, but how a flaky number has prevented that (!).

We're now up to around 80 visitors. Thanks for coming, hope you like it. Plenty more 27 pics to come - so tell all your friends and their friends and maybe tell some strangers too.

I like the cracked wall and the blue sky, so I do.
